Open Gym

About

Open Gym is not a conditioning class – it is a supervised time slot that we’ve set aside in the timetable where Hammer Athletic PT clients (who hold unlimited class bundles) can make use of the gym floor to perform their program.

This is a handy little option for you if you miss your PT session or if you can only get into one PT session a week due to financial or other restrictions. You won’t receive ‘coaching’ per-se but you will be supervised by a qualified strength and conditioning coach and be able to ask questions, receive technique correction, spotting or general guidance.

  • What are the benefits? Get in an extra session without having to wait for packed equipment in a commercial gym
  • Who can participate? Strictly PT Clients and unlimited class bundle holders ONLY
  • What kind of things will I be doing? Whatever your coach has prescribed as part of your program.

The Rules

You can only attend open gym if you receive regular instruction and programming from one of our qualified Strength & Conditioning coaches and you hold an unlimited class bundle

No hogging the coach – if you want personalised attention book in a PT session

Usual gym etiquette is paramount – use your towel, put away your weights, wear enclosed shoes, use equipment for what it was intended (no bicep curls in the squat rack!) and do not hog equipment. If any of the above is witnessed the coach on duty will politely (or not) remind you of the rules – repeat offenders may be publicly scorned and penalised on social media
